Imagine an animal-services officer’s surprise when he responded to a call about a wild animal in a middle-school bathroom, only to find a full-grown coyote hanging out by one of the toilets. This happened back in 2022, and the viral video is making a comeback in popularity.

The incident happened at a Jurupa Valley school in Riverside County, California. Riverside County Animal Services shared footage of the coyote in the bathroom and the animal’s subsequent release on its YouTube page.
“A Riverside County Animal Services officer removed a coyote from a stall inside a school bathroom this morning,” the YouTube caption reads. “The coyote scurried into the open bathroom after staff discovered it on the campus and frightened it into its unusual hiding place at Jurupa Unified’s Mission Middle School.”
School staff reportedly nicknamed the coyote “Wile E.” Officer Will Luna successfully lassoed the coyote and released it into a rural area away from the school, Riverside County Animal Services wrote.
