Bottom line
The 2026 Tellaro 20L makes sense for a couple who want two beds that can stay made, a gasoline drivetrain, a wet bath, and a van that is roughly 21 feet long. The aisle between the beds is the practical win: either sleeper can reach the bathroom without climbing over the other. Four seat belts and the optional pop-top may tempt families, but the standard coach sleeps two and its small holding tanks demand careful trip planning.[2]
The hard part is not understanding the layout. It is identifying the exact build. Thor's archived 2026 brochure lists the 20L, but the manufacturer's live page now describes the 2027 model. Several measurements changed, and published dealer equipment can differ. Do not buy from a generic feature list. Match the VIN, window sticker, coach serial number, component labels, and Thor build sheet.
Best fit: a touring couple who values separate beds, keeps trips moving, and will perform a serious pre-delivery inspection.
Skip it if: you need a permanent four-person sleeping setup, generous tank capacity, wheelchair-scale aisle space, or a coach that can sit off-grid for long stretches without power and water management.
Official 2026 specifications
Thor's own brochure archive lists a 2026 Tellaro brochure, and the downloaded document is branded by Thor Motor Coach and dated May 13, 2025.[1][2] These figures are for the 2026 20L, not the 20U or the later 20LS.

| Hitch rating | 5,000 lb | Thor 2026 brochure / Oct. 3, 2026 |
GVWR is a limit, not payload. The brochure does not publish an as-built occupant-and-cargo carrying capacity for the unit in front of you. Read the yellow weight label, then subtract people, water, propane, food, bikes, accessories, and hitch load. A 5,000-pound hitch rating does not prove that a fully loaded coach can tow 5,000 pounds while remaining within GVWR, GCWR, axle, tire, and tongue-weight limits.
The official-source conflict buyers need to see
Thor's live Tellaro page identifies the model as 2027.[4] Its current 20L page lists a 20-foot-11-inch length, 9-foot-6-inch height, 22 gallons fresh water, 13 gallons gray water, 13.5 gallons waste water, and 12,000-pound GCWR.[3] The archived 2026 brochure instead says 21 feet 1 inch, 9 feet 5 inches, 27 gallons fresh, 13.3 gallons gray, 13.5 gallons waste, and 11,500-pound GCWR.[2]
That is too much disagreement to wave away as rounding. The current page is useful as a comparison, not as evidence for a 2026 coach. We did not find a still-live manufacturer URL explicitly labeled as the 2026 20L year page. The strongest official year evidence is Thor's 2026 archive entry and its dated brochure. This review therefore does not silently combine the live 2027 specifications with the 2026 table.
The brochure also warns that components, appliances, and the chassis may have been manufactured in a calendar year before the coach's designated model year.[2] A coach sold as a 2026 may sit on an earlier chassis. Confirm both model years from the chassis VIN paperwork and Thor's coach documentation before discussing warranty, parts, recalls, or resale.
Floorplan and daily use
The 20L puts the wet bath between the cab and bedroom, then runs two narrow beds lengthwise in the rear. The beds can become a cross-coach sleeping surface, but leaving them separated preserves the aisle and saves daily setup. That arrangement suits partners with different sleep schedules. It also gives a cleaner route to the bathroom at night than a rear sofa that must be converted each evening.
The trade is living-room space. The rear bedroom does much of the daytime work, and the removable table is not a substitute for a roomy dinette. Before buying, both travelers should sit, eat, work on a laptop, make the bed, and pass one another in the aisle. Taller shoppers should test the 75-inch interior height and the real bed length with pillows in place.
The 2026 brochure shows a wet bath, gravity toilet, portable induction cooktop, microwave, single-door refrigerator, roof air conditioner, Truma Combi LP heat and hot water, solar charging, an inverter, and a gas generator in the equipment description.[2] Options and running changes matter. Photograph every component label and verify whether the sample coach has the standard roof, optional SkyBunk, awning, generator, battery type, and exact refrigerator. Roof equipment changes height and can change solar-panel fit.
Water is the tighter constraint than floor space. The published 13.3-gallon gray tank and 13.5-gallon waste tank are small enough that two people can reach a dump stop before the fresh tank is empty. Test the tank monitor against known fill levels; panel percentages are not proof of usable capacity. The brochure mentions holding-tank heat pads, but that does not establish four-season plumbing protection. Ask Thor for the exact temperature limits and winter-use procedure for the VIN.
What owners report
Independent experience is mixed, and most available reports concern earlier Tellaros rather than the exact 2026 20L. That limits what can be inferred about a 2026 build.
On RV Insider, one 2022 Tellaro owner reported nearly three years with few issues and praised storage, refrigerator size, bed size, and the layout. Other owners on the same page described wiring errors, battery charging trouble, broken interior hardware, screen-door failures, and long service delays.[5] These are individual reports, not a defect rate, but their variety makes a detailed systems test more useful than a quick cosmetic walk-through.
A Tellaro owner discussion on Thor Forums centers on batteries that would not charge from shore power or while driving. Replies point to fuses, battery condition, controls, and build-specific wiring, while owners repeatedly note that electrical layouts vary by year and option package.[6] The thread involves a 2023 20J, not this 2026 20L, so it does not prove a 20L problem. It does justify testing every charging source and obtaining the VIN-specific schematics before delivery.
The recurring lesson is practical: do not accept "the battery was low" as an explanation. Start with a charged system, disconnect shore power, run each 12-volt and inverter-fed load, watch state of charge, drive long enough to verify alternator charging, then reconnect shore power and repeat. If a generator is installed, run it under a meaningful load. Record voltages and error codes.
New price and purchase paths
Thor's archived 2026 brochure does not state MSRP, and the manufacturer archive page does not provide a price.[1][2] RVUSA's year-specific catalog reports a $164,500 MSRP for the 2026 20L, but that is a third-party figure rather than a manufacturer price sheet.[13] Because an official 2026 MSRP sheet was not located, buyers should treat $164,500 as a reference that requires confirmation on the original Monroney-style/window sticker.
A Camping World search result retrieved October 3, 2026 showed a new 2026 Tellaro 20L in Sunbury, Ohio, stock 2616868, advertised at $109,497 with a claimed MSRP of $170,856.[7] The listing later redirected to general inventory, so availability must be reconfirmed. Dealer preparation, freight, taxes, registration, documentation fees, finance conditions, accessories, and optional equipment may be extra. The advertised number is an asking price, not a completed transaction.
Start with Thor's inventory search, then request the factory build sheet, window sticker, VIN, coach serial number, written out-the-door quote, warranty start date, and a list of open campaigns.[11] Compare at least two dealers and make purchase contingent on an independent inspection and correction of the written punch list.
Used-market snapshot
These were asking prices observed October 3, 2026. They are not sale prices, appraisals, or a statistically representative market value.
| Marketplace / listing | Year and floorplan | Location | Mileage | Asking price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TrueRVs / dealer listing | 2023 Tellaro 20L | Hobe Sound, FL | 11,200 | $69,999[8] |
| TrueRVs / dealer listing | 2023 Tellaro 20L | Gainesville, FL | 34,353 | $69,950[9] |
| Bish's RV | 2022 Tellaro 20L | Fairfield, CA | 32,304 | $67,995[10] |
The sample spans two marketplaces but clusters around two older model years. Condition, battery history, generator hours, options, accident history, title status, service records, tires, and local fees can move the real deal substantially. The two TrueRVs entries are separate units, not duplicate prices: the VIN/stock information, locations, and mileages differ.[8][9]
Used Tellaro 20L inspection checklist
- Decode the chassis VIN and compare chassis year, coach model year, title, coach serial number, and build sheet.
- Run the VIN through NHTSA's recall lookup and obtain proof that every chassis and coach campaign was completed.[12]
- Weigh all four corners or at least both axles in travel trim. Compare with GVWR, GCWR, axle ratings, tire ratings, and the yellow cargo label.
- Check tire date codes, sidewalls, tread, spare-tire plan, jack points, wheel torque documentation, brakes, alignment, and suspension.
- Inspect roof openings, awning mounts, windows, doors, underbody penetrations, wet-bath seams, plumbing joints, and the floor for leaks or staining. Use a moisture meter where appropriate.
- Fill the fresh tank, pressurize city water, run the pump, heat water, use every faucet, and inspect beneath cabinets and under the van. Fill and drain both holding tanks; verify valves, vents, sensors, and heat pads.
- Test shore charging, alternator charging, solar input, battery disconnect behavior, inverter outlets, transfer switching, generator output and hours, air conditioner, microwave, refrigerator, and Truma heat. Save photos of model and serial labels.
- Operate every light, USB outlet, fan, shade, cabinet latch, screen door, table mount, bed mechanism, cab-seat swivel, and optional pop-top. Listen for unsecured wiring or plumbing on a road test.
- Ask for engine and transmission service records, generator service, battery replacement history, winterization records, water-leak repairs, warranty work, and receipts.
- Verify clean title and lien release. Use a qualified independent RV inspector; add a chassis mechanic when records or road behavior raise questions.
Alternatives
The Jayco Swift 20T uses a similar twin-bed idea on a ProMaster, with a rear wet bath rather than the Tellaro's mid-coach bath. The Winnebago Travato 59K is another gasoline twin-bed Class B, but its systems and dimensions differ. Buyers who want a rear lounge rather than permanent twins should compare the Coachmen Nova 20C. Compare exact model-year brochures and loaded weights, not family names.
Method, limitations, and disclosures
This is a research-based buyer guide assembled from manufacturer documents, marketplace snapshots, and attributed owner reports. No vehicle was physically inspected, driven, weighed, rented, slept in, or tested. The official 2026 brochure is stronger year evidence than the rolling 2027 product page, but it cannot reveal running production changes or the equipment installed on a particular VIN. Owner reports are anecdotal and mostly concern prior years. Listing prices and availability can change without notice.
