A viral video shows a man struggling to stay above water as massive waves crash over him in Cabo, Mexico. Warning sirens blast in the background as a crowd gathers on higher ground. The woman recording, who later posted the video to TikTok, wrote: “This is your sign to respect the ocean in Cabo.”
Thankfully, the man was able to get out of the water with the help of another man, who swooped in between waves at a point when the struggling man was close to shore. Apparently, a second person was also caught up in the waves, and he, too, got out safely.

“Cabo’s stunning beaches can be deceivingly dangerous,” wrote eelly.rios in her TikTok post. “The ocean’s power demands respect, and ignoring warnings can lead to serious consequences. This is your sign to be mindful of the waves and heed local advice when visiting Cabo’s shores. [. . .] Always prioritize safety and respect the natural environment.”
