ALERTCalifornia, which operates several remote cameras in the state, recently shared a funny photo bomb from a couple of endangered birds—California condors. These impressive birds were nearly wiped out in the 20th century, when their population dwindled to just over 20 birds. In the 1980s, humans took action to breed and reintroduce the birds back into the wild in an attempt to save the species, and it’s working. Seeing them on remote cameras is proof of the program’s success.

“California condors are currently live on ALERTCalifornia’s El Rancho 2 camera,” the organization wrote in its Facebook post sharing the photo.
“Now that’s a great selfie!” wrote one person in the comments section.
“He’s showing off!” wrote another.
