Imagine hiking around the Scottish Highlands when, suddenly, a stag approaches you and licks the camera you’re holding. This actually happened, and the person was recording, thankfully. The resulting footage is pretty funny, and some people are calling it “magical.”
STV News shared the video, and it has over 1.4 million views.

“A walker has shared the magical moment a majestic stag approached them in the Scottish Highlands,” wrote STV News in the Instagram post. “Roaming Thistle, an account that documents journeys around Scotland by motorhome, caught the animal coming up to them and licking the lens of their camera. ‘Proof that the most majestic residents of the Highlands are also the most curious,’ they said. ‘Just a moment of pure connection in the middle of nowhere.’”
