A mother-daughter pair had to stop and watch when they spotted an osprey flying overhead with something long and wiggly in its talons. The bird of prey than landed on a roof in Duck, North Carolina, and began picking at its meal, which the women believe is a needlefish. In the video, one of the women says the bird looks like a pterodactyl holding a snake.

“Mother/daughter wildlife experts we are not!” joked dailyducknc in her Instagram post sharing the video. “When an osprey flies over you with something in its mouth – you’ve just got to see it through!”
