An incredible video from New York shows a man walking through a neighborhood on the sidewalk when lightning struck him. The strike knocked him down, but he was able to get back up right away. A doorbell camera caught the terrifying moment on video, and a woman who heard the strike opened her home to the man.
The man, Thomas Fahmy, said he was walking to a dentist appointment when lightning struck his foot. After standing back up, he sought help from the nearest neighbor.

“Can I come in??” Fahmy asked after hurrying through the neighbor’s gate and into the yard.
“Yes, please, come! I’m calling an ambulance for you,” said the Good Samaritan as she opened her door for the stranger.
