If you’ve ever seen a whale in person, you likely felt shocked by how incredibly large these marine mammals are up close. But, have you ever thought about the size difference between a more average-sized whale and the largest whale on the planet? Rare footage from Bluelifewild shows a humpback whale swimming near a blue whale, and the size different is shocking.

“Extremely rare footage of a humpback whale swimming past a blue whale!” wrote Bluelifewild in an Instagram post sharing the video. “Filmed recently aboard Gone Whale Watching San Diego, this video really shows how enormous blue whales actually are!”
