2026 Pleasure-Way Lexor TS review: big battery, low-clearance questions

Summary: The 2026 Pleasure-Way Lexor TS brings a 600Ah lithium bank, generator backup, a large convertible rear bed, and a usable wet bath to a 20-foot-11-inch Ram ProMaster. Its two-person touring layout is convincing, but buyers should measure underbody clearance, confirm payload, and reconcile generator and warranty conflicts before signing.

Research disclosure: This is a desk-researched buyer guide, not a road test. RVCamping.info did not drive, inspect, weigh, rent, sleep in, purchase, or otherwise test this motorhome.

The Lexor family does not appear in RVCamping.info's RV-review manifest during the preceding 365 days. The requested 2026 Winnebago Boldt 70BL was not used because Winnebago's accessible Boldt material described dealer-stock inventory rather than a verifiable 2026 model-year build; the current 2026 Lexor TS has a year-specific official brochure, current new inventory, independent experience evidence, and a usable used-market sample.

Bottom line

The 2026 Lexor TS is best understood as a high-spec couples' touring van, not a cargo hauler or rough-road camper. Its rear power sofa changes into either a 73-by-76-inch combined bed or two 26-by-76-inch singles. The galley, private wet bath, 29-gallon fresh tank, 600Ah lithium bank, 3,000-watt inverter/charger, gasoline generator, and 13,500-BTU air conditioner put ordinary campground and roadside routines inside one compact body.[1]

The layout's central trade-off is equally clear: the rear lounge is also the bed, the kitchen and bath occupy the middle aisle, and the ProMaster's published 9,350-pound GVWR comes without an official brochure curb weight or completed-unit cargo figure.[1] Owners of earlier Lexors repeatedly liked the driving manners and floorplan, but two specifically flagged low ground clearance, including one who attributed it to the generator.[5] That makes an exact-unit underbody inspection more important than the polished interior specification.

Best fit: one or two travelers who want a front-wheel-drive gas van, a large rear lounge/bed, a real enclosed wet bath, substantial battery capacity, generator backup, and broad Ram service access.

Skip it: buyers who need all-wheel drive, a permanent bed and separate dinette at the same time, four-person sleeping, a large gear garage, high underbody clearance, or a published exact-unit payload before visiting a dealer.

Official conflicts to settle on the exact van

The year-specific brochure contradicts itself about the generator. Its feature spread calls it an Onan QG 2800i rated at 2.8 kW, while the coach-specification page lists a 2.5-kW Onan QG 2500i.[1] Do not choose one figure by assumption. Photograph the installed generator model and serial plate, then match it to the window sticker, build sheet, manual, fuel system, automatic-start controls, and warranty registration.

Warranty wording also requires care. The 2026 brochure prints a Ram powertrain term of 10 years/100,000 miles, while Pleasure-Way's current Lexor page lists 5 years/60,000 miles for the Ram powertrain.[1][2] The current page is for model year 2027.5, not the reviewed 2026, so it cannot silently replace the earlier document. Obtain the chassis warranty booklet tied to the VIN and get the dealer to identify the governing term in writing. Pleasure-Way's coach warranty separately covers only the portions it manufactured, subject to exclusions and procedures; chassis, tires, and many supplier components follow their own warranties.[4]

The rolling model page now describes a 2027.5 Lexor TS with a 460Ah lithium system and a $178,750 MSRP.[2] Those are not 2026 specifications. The change is useful evidence that a current web page must not be backfilled into an earlier coach.

Coach year versus chassis year

“2026 Lexor TS” is the completed coach model year. Ram may have built the ProMaster chassis in an earlier model year. Match the dash VIN, door label, title, Pleasure-Way serial label, incomplete-vehicle documents, window sticker, and warranty in-service records. Record both years in the purchase agreement, because the chassis year controls parts, recalls, emissions equipment, and Ram warranty terms.

Floorplan and daily use

Sleeping and seating

The rear power sofa carries two three-point belts and forms the middle of the lounge. At night it combines with memory-foam side cushions as a 73-by-76-inch bed or leaves a narrow center aisle between two 26-by-76-inch singles.[1] The combined bed is wider than a standard household queen in one direction, but its segmented cushions and moving hardware will feel different from a fixed mattress. Buyers should make the bed themselves, lie on every seam, and confirm where bedding lives during the day.

The two front seats swivel, and the movable Lagun table can support dining or laptop use.[1] Still, this is a two-sleeper coach. The rear belts add travel seating; they do not add published sleeping spaces. Verify child-restraint instructions in both Ram and Pleasure-Way manuals before treating any rear position as suitable for a child seat.

Wet bath and kitchen

The enclosed wet bath includes a shower, vanity, stainless sink, storage, and ceramic foot-flush toilet.[1] An independent 2018 review found the earlier Lexor bath unusually spacious for a Class B and liked that the passenger-side galley preserved the view through the sliding door.[13] The 2026 has different appliances and electrical equipment, so those observations support the layout concept, not component reliability.

A 29-gallon fresh tank is useful for two people, but the 20-gallon gray and 12-gallon black tanks set shorter limits.[1] Run the shower long enough to check drainage and door seals, then test whether the toilet, sink, and shower are comfortable with the door closed. Look underneath after every plumbing test.

The 2026 galley uses a 3.2-cubic-foot 12V compressor refrigerator, induction burner, microwave, and 13-by-17-inch sink.[1] The portable cooktop can free counter space when stowed, but it also depends on the electrical system. Test induction and microwave loads both separately and in the combinations permitted by the manual.

Payload and towing

Pleasure-Way publishes 9,350 pounds GVWR and 11,500 pounds GCWR, but the brochure does not publish unloaded weight or occupant-and-cargo capacity.[1] The completed van's yellow cargo label is the meaningful starting point. Passengers, water, propane, food, bedding, dealer options, batteries, hitch load, and aftermarket equipment all consume that allowance.

The advertised 2,150-pound towing capacity equals the numerical gap between GCWR and GVWR, but it is not a promise that every loaded van can tow that amount.[1] Subtract the van's actual travel weight from GCWR, then check rear-axle, tire, hitch, tongue-weight, and trailer-brake limits. If the loaded van weighs 9,000 pounds, only 2,500 pounds remain under GCWR before the other limits are applied.

Power, climate, and service access

A heated 600Ah lithium bank and 3,000-watt inverter are substantial, while the generator provides a second energy path.[1] Runtime cannot be inferred from amp-hours alone. Battery voltage, usable depth of discharge, temperature, inverter losses, air-conditioner cycling, solar conditions, and other loads all matter. Ask for a live demonstration that starts from shore power disconnected and includes alternator charging, solar charging, inverter loads, generator start, automatic generator start, and a simulated low-battery condition.

The Truma furnace, Truma hot-water system, Truma air conditioner, Xantrex inverter, Eco-Ion batteries, Onan generator, and multiplex controls divide service responsibility across several suppliers.[1][4] Before buying far from home, identify who will diagnose each system and whether Pleasure-Way preauthorization is required. A five-year coach warranty is less useful when the nearest willing shop has a long queue or treats the failed part as someone else's responsibility.

What independent reviewers and owners report

Independent evidence for the redesigned 2026 is limited, so older Lexor reports are used only to identify routines and inspection targets—not to assign reliability to the current build.

  • RV Insider's Lexor TS page contains eight owner ratings spanning older model years. A 2020 owner reported good reliability and about 15 mpg but said ground clearance was a problem and had the van lifted. Another owner who kept a 2020 for four years praised quality but called out generator-related clearance and a noisy air conditioner. A 2016 owner who drove 33,600 miles liked livability, ventilation, storage, and road manners, while reporting broken plastic cabinet latches and small component issues.[5] The 2026 uses a different air conditioner, refrigerator, battery system, and cabinetry hardware, so these are inspection clues, not inherited defects.
  • The Fit RV's 2015 walkthrough praised the Lexor's cabinetry, multiplex approach, and extensive exhaust heat shielding. Its comment discussion also shows how sharply driver-seat fit and bed height can divide buyers.[6] That old coach is not specification evidence for 2026, but the ergonomic lesson still holds: both travelers should drive, rotate the cab seats, enter the bath, and assemble both bed modes.
  • RV Guide's 2018 review highlighted the open rear lounge, enclosed bath, galley usability, and easy-driving size.[13] Again, the value is floorplan context. Appliances, controls, warranty, and power systems have changed.

The pattern is favorable toward compact touring and interior finish, with recurring warnings around clearance, bed setup, cabin fit, and component access. It does not establish that the 2026 is either trouble-free or defective.

NHTSA's model-level API returned zero recalls for a 2026 Pleasure-Way Lexor at 2026-10-08 00:06 UTC.[7] A zero-result model query is not VIN clearance. Re-run the 17-character VIN through NHTSA and Ram immediately before purchase; chassis and component campaigns can be filed or matched later.

New purchase path and asking-price snapshot

Pleasure-Way sells new motorhomes through authorized dealers rather than factory-direct; start with its locator, then verify the stock number on the selling dealer's site.[3] The official site index displayed a 2026 Lexor TS MSRP of $175,500, but the archived 2026 brochure itself does not print a price and warns that prices and equipment can change.[1][14] Treat $175,500 as the model-year reference, not an exact out-the-door amount.

At 2026-10-08 00:06 UTC, sampled advertisements showed:

SellerAdvertised unitAsking priceListing detail

Transwest, Belton, MissouriNew 2026 Lexor TS, stock 17N263521$147,000Search capture showed 38 miles and dealer-claimed MSRP $179,000 [9]

The $3,500 spread between the official model-year reference and Transwest's claimed MSRP likely reflects configuration, timing, or dealer labeling, but the captured listing does not fully explain it. Ask for the factory window sticker and an itemized buyer's order separating base coach, factory options, destination/freight, dealer preparation, documentation, add-ons, taxes, title, registration, financing conditions, trade assumptions, and warranty products. Advertised discounts are not comparable until those lines and equipment match.

Used-market snapshot

These are live or recently indexed asking prices observed at 2026-10-08 00:06 UTC. They are not completed-sale prices, appraisals, or a statistical market value. Older Lexors differ materially from the 2026 in batteries, refrigerator, air conditioner, generator, controls, furnishings, warranty status, and possibly chassis equipment.

Used-unit inspection checklist

  1. Identity: Match the 17-character VIN on dash, door label, title, registration, lender records, Ram documents, and Pleasure-Way serial label.
  2. Coach versus chassis year: Obtain the Ram build sheet and Pleasure-Way production record. Put both years and the warranty in-service dates in writing.
  3. Recalls: Check the exact VIN with NHTSA, Ram, Pleasure-Way, and each major component maker on inspection day.[7]
  4. Weight: Read the completed-unit cargo label, then weigh the travel-ready van by axle. Compare with GVWR, both GAWRs, tire ratings, and wheel ratings.
  5. Underbody clearance: With normal travel load, measure the lowest generator, exhaust, plumbing, tanks, steps, wiring, and suspension points. Photograph each measurement.[5]
  6. Generator identity: Resolve the official 2.5-versus-2.8-kW conflict from the installed plate. Record hours, serial, service history, fault codes, output under load, fuel connections, and exhaust condition.[1]
  7. Lithium bank: Record battery serials and date codes. Review state of health, cell balance, temperatures, fault history, heater operation, and warranty eligibility.
  8. Charging: Test shore charger, alternator charging, solar controller, generator, inverter/charger, automatic generator start, transfer behavior, and disconnects under meaningful load.
  9. Air conditioner: Run the Truma Aventa from every approved power source. Measure temperature drop, startup behavior, noise, condensate route, and current draw.
  10. Heat and hot water: Cold-start the Truma VarioHeat and AquaGo. Check LP pressure, ducts, burner exhaust, water temperature stability, error history, and winterization valves.
  11. Water intrusion: Inspect roof seams, solar mounts, A/C, fan, awning rail, windows, doors, plumbing penetrations, wet-bath walls, cabinetry, and subfloor with a moisture meter.
  12. Wet bath: Run shower, sink, toilet, fan, and hot water. Check pan flex, drain speed, door latch, seals, toilet base, privacy, and leaks underneath.
  13. Tanks: Fill and drain fresh, gray, and black tanks. Verify gauges, pump cycling, city-water connection, flush system, dump valves, exterior shower, and winterization route.
  14. Kitchen: Run refrigerator, induction burner, microwave, outlets, sink, and ventilation. Confirm the inverter can support only the combinations allowed by the manual.
  15. Bed and lounge: Convert sofa to queen and twins repeatedly. Check motor, switches, supports, cushion seams, belt anchors, table mounts, sleeping length, and bedding storage.
  16. Seats and restraints: Inspect every designated travel seat, three-point belt, anchor, head restraint, swivel, and interlock. Confirm child-seat instructions in both manuals.
  17. Cab fit: Both drivers should complete a long test drive. Check seat range, pedal reach, sight lines, mirrors, crosswind behavior, turning clearance, and parking-camera view.[6]
  18. Doors, screens, awning, and cabinets: Cycle each repeatedly on level and uneven ground. Check magnetic catches, soft-close hardware, latches, manual overrides, and emergency retraction.
  19. Chassis: Have a Ram-qualified technician inspect fluids, brakes, tires by DOT date, alignment, steering, suspension, drivetrain, warning codes, driver-assistance systems, and maintenance history.
  20. LP and combustion safety: Leak-test the system; inspect tank, regulator, hoses, quick-connect, appliance exhausts, detectors, fire extinguisher, and generator fuel/exhaust routing.
  21. Road test: Listen for rattles, cabinet movement, tire contact, driveline vibration, water movement, warning chimes, and loose equipment over smooth and rough pavement.
  22. Paper and money: Verify title brand, lien release, odometer disclosure, seller identity, VIN history, option sheet, manuals, service records, deposit/refund terms, fees, and every warranty transfer rule.

Use an independent RV inspector and a Ram technician. A dealer delivery orientation is not a substitute for a pre-purchase inspection.

Alternatives worth comparing

  • 2026 Winnebago Travato 59K: another ProMaster Class B with longitudinal twin beds, but with a rear wet bath and a different electrical strategy. Compare permanent sleep access, tank layout, and exact cargo label.
  • 2026 Pleasure-Way Ontour 2.2 AWD: a longer Ford Transit alternative with all-wheel drive and a larger rear lounge. Compare chassis service, width, bath arrangement, battery system, and price.
  • 2026 Roadtrek Play+ Slumber: adds a pop-top option for family sleeping. Compare restraints, bed setup, payload, roof access, and recall status.
  • 2026 Coachmen Beyond 22C: Ford Transit AWD with a rear lounge/bed and broader dealer footprint. Compare clearance, generator or lithium configuration, warranty service, and out-the-door price.
  • 2026 Pleasure-Way Ascent TS: a shorter Mercedes-Benz diesel alternative. It sacrifices interior length and costs more, but its compact footprint and rear lounge may suit urban touring.

Compare actual cargo labels, bed comfort, underbody measurements, local service willingness, warranty exclusions, and itemized purchase price—not feature counts alone.

Methodology, limitations, and disclosures

This review used Pleasure-Way's archived year-specific brochure, the current rolling Lexor page, dealer locator and warranty terms, three independent review/owner sources, a federal recall query, two new advertisements, and three used-market advertisements. Listings were captured at the stated UTC timestamp and can change or disappear.

We did not contact Pleasure-Way, Ram, dealers, owners, or reviewers. We did not inspect window stickers, option sheets, titles, physical condition, cargo labels, service records, or warranty files. The official 2026 brochure omits MSRP and unloaded weight, conflicts internally on generator output, and conflicts with the current model page on Ram powertrain warranty wording. Independent reports mostly describe 2015–2020 coaches, not the redesigned 2026. Those limitations are part of the verdict.
