Imagine noticing a shark hunting close to the shore during your morning walk on the beach, when, suddenly, a wave knocked the shark over, and it became stuck. What would you do next, rescue it? Now, add to the equation the species. Say it’s a great white shark—does this change your decision?

One woman, a self-described “shark admirer,” lived this scenario. Her decision proved her devotion; she jumped in (literally) and helped push the shark back out to sea. Rebecca posted her footage to Instagram, and the online community is lauding her bravery and conviction.
In her video, Rebecca says that she and her partner did call wildlife authorities, but it took them a very long time to arrive, which helped fuel their decision to step in and help the shark.
